As long as we have clear access to the concrete in question, you don’t strictly need to be home. However, we highly recommend it so we can discuss our recommendations face-to-face and answer your questions in real-time.

Please ensure vehicles are moved out of the garage or driveway if that’s the area being inspected. For patio furniture or heavy planters, they can stay put for the evaluation, but will need to be moved before repair day.

• The "Void" Size: We use specialty tools to check for hollow voids under the slab caused by soil erosion. A slab that has dropped 1 inch but has a massive void underneath requires more material than a slab that dropped 2 inches with tight soil.

• Concrete Integrity: We need to inspect the condition of the concrete. If it is severely fractured or crumbling, leveling might not hold, and we want to tell you honestly if a replacement is a better investment.

• Pitch and Drainage: We test the slope to ensure that when we lift the concrete, we are successfully directing water away from your home’s foundation, not toward it.
